Block R, Shannon Free Zone

The project comprises of the Redevelopment of Bays 77/79 Block R at Shannon Free Zone West.
 
The project comprises of the construction of a new building which comprises of a two-story office and single storey warehouse areas along with site works which include new site services, car parking, roads, footpaths and landscaping.
 
Site works consist of the provision of a service yard with dedicated plant and refuse storage compound, rainwater harvesting tank and a new sub-station, cycle parking and external landscaping, along with all associated site works, services and signage.
 
The building, which was completed in an accelerated 10-month build programme, is located on a c2.6-acre site adjacent to the main entrance to the Shannon Free Zone in a very high-profile location.
 
To provide Affordable and Clean Energy options, PV panels were installed on the roof which will help to meet the electricity demands of the building. The building was designed to retain heat and run as efficiently as possible with the wall, floor and roof insulation and air tightness designed in accordance with Part L of the Building Regulations.
