Dave Cuddy established CuddyQS in 2008 and has built a strong professional practice organically into one of the main Chartered QS practices in the region and nationally. He has built a strong competent team with various complementary skills to ensure that CuddyQS’s clients receive the most commercial advice available on their projects. Dave has been involved in LEED Gold & BREEM Projects since 2012 and has also provided cost consultancy services on data centres for multinational clients. He is currently an Assessor for the SCSI in the assessment of professional competence for membership. He aims to continue in delivering honest and strong professional service as the company’s reputation grows. Dave is originally from Laois and has a strong background in the GAA, having played and coached in his downtime.

Jonathan Magnier is an Associate Director with CuddyQS and heads up the Tralee Office. He is a Chartered QS and also a qualified Civil Engineer. He joined Dave in 2010 and his honest no nonense approach in providing a fair and reasonable cost service has been recognised by his peers. He has delivered the multi million GE Sensing project in Shannon and also provides public bodies including a number of ETB’s with ongoing consultancy advice. An active member of the Austin Stacks club in Tralee, he aims to grow the business in partnership with local professionals. A strong knowledge of Public Forms of Contracts including their administration has provided Jonathan with a reputation for diligent cost control and management.

Michael Bermingham has 20 plus years experience within the Irish Construction Industry. Michael joined the firm in 2016 as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with huge experience gained from the Ballymore Group in Dublin where he was the senior surveyor on residential and commercial projects. Michaels addition has brought new skills and expertise to CuddyQS and his experience in Social Housing, Part V Negotiations, Developer Lead Project Cost Management will allow the firm provide current expertise in the housing and developer lead markets.
CuddyQS are currently providing these services to all Local Authorities in the region and also now into the Dublin market with regard large scale developments.
Originally a true Dub, Mike has now settled in the Clare area where his interest in hurling can develop.
ASCSI, BSc. (Hons) Quantity Surveying, C DipLA
Eoin is a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the practice. He graduated from Limerick Institute of Technology with an Honours Degree in Construction Economics and Management and has 10 plus years experience in the industry. He started out working with a multi discipline Quantity Surveying and Project Management Practice working on large complex projects in the Munster Region. From 2010 to 2016 he worked with a national Insurance Loss Adjusting Company where he undertook the role of Senior Property Loss Adjuster. Eoin progressed to the role of Regional Executive and Limerick Branch Manager during this time.
Eoin was approached by CuddyQS in 2016 to take a Senior Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager role within the practice on various public and private projects. He is well known and regarded in the professional sector in the region for his skills and has brought considerable management experience to the practice. He is from the Limerick Area and is a keen member of Castletroy Golf Club.

Cathal is a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the Practice. He graduated from Limerick Institute of Technology with an Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying, and is a Chartered Surveyor. Cathal has over 10 years experience in the industry. He has worked with a number of Quantity Surveying practices in Dublin and Limerick. Cathal has worked on many projects across all sectors, including Commercial, Residential, Hotel/Leisure and Education, with values up to €30 Million. In 2017, Cathal joined CuddyQS as a Senior Surveyor and is currently engaged on a number of private and public sector projects within the Office. Cathal is from Limerick and has a keen interest in all sports.

Barry Aherne is a Project Surveyor with CuddyQS and has been with the company since he graduated. He has developed his skill set and currently acts as project surveyor on a number of the practices projects reporting into Dave. He has worked on office, educational and community type projects with values over the million mark. He is a highly skilled measurer allowing CuddyQS provide measurement services into the London market to a number of construction companies and PQS offices. A Tipperary man from Borrisokane, Barry has an interest in Tipperary hurling and their fortunes.
BSc. (Hons) Quantity Surveying
Jonathan graduated from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology with an Honours degree in Quantity Surveying and Construction Economics. He joined the Cuddy QS team in 2017 as a Project Surveyor, having previously worked in a Dublin based consultancy. Jonathan has worked on numerous commercial and residential projects during his time as a surveyor. He has a keen interest in sport, and plays rugby in his spare time.
BSc. (Hons) Quantity Surveying
Sean joined Cuddy QS in early 2018, having previously worked in private practice. He has experience in a range of residential, commercial and education projects, and aims to work towards becoming a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and advance his technical and contractual knowledge of the industry. Sean hails from Clarecastle, and is a keen hurling enthusiast, both as a player with his local club, and also as an avid fan of both the club and county hurling scene in Clare.

Paul joined the Practice in late 2018. He graduated from Limerick Institute of Technology with an Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying, and is also a Chartered Quantity Surveyor. He has gained extensive experience in the construction industry. He has worked in both London and Dublin as a Quantity Surveyor. Paul has worked on many projects across all sectors, including Commercial, Residential and Data Centres with values ranging from a few hundred thousand euro to €100m plus. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators MCIArb.
Paul completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Construction Law in Trinity College Dublin which provided him a with a strong theoretical knowledge of the Public Works Forms of Contract and dispute resolution procedures. Paul is from Kerry and is based in our Tralee Office. He has a keen interest in Gaelic football and most other sports.
